How can I reach Favignana?
The island is reachable from Trapani or Marsala with hydrofoils from Liberty Lines (www.libertylines.it) or from Trapani with ships from Siremar (www.siremar.it). By plane, you can fly to Trapani or Palermo airport, from where you can reach the port of Trapani for Favignana by taxi, bus, or organized transfer.
Are maritime connections available on Sundays and holidays?
Yes, connections are always active except in adverse weather and sea conditions.
Can I book ferry/hydrofoil tickets through you?
No, but you can book online through the aforementioned websites.
Is a shuttle service available to/from the port?
The hotel provides, upon reservation at info@hoteldellecave.it, a transfer service to/from the airport:
– From Trapani Birgi at €40.00 per person (minimum 2 pax) per trip, including hydrofoil ticket and taxi on the island to reach the hotel;
– From Palermo Falcone e Borsellino at €65.00 per person (minimum 2 pax) per trip, including hydrofoil ticket and taxi on the island to reach the hotel.
The service can be booked in advance knowing the arrival or departure time. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from the port of Favignana to the hotel and vice versa upon arrival and departure.
Can I bring my car to the island?
There is a prohibition on non-residents’ cars and motorcycles landing (from July 1st to September 15th) unless guests have booked at least 5 nights in the hotel. In case of necessity, please contact the hotel for more detailed information.
Where can we leave the car to then take the hydrofoil?
If you wish to leave your car in the city of Trapani, we recommend guarded parking lots, which also offer a shuttle service to the docks. For example, Egadi and multipiano parking: https://www.atmtrapani.it
Is a tourist tax applicable?
No, the municipality of Favignana includes a landing fee directly on the hydrofoil ticket.
Where is the hotel located?
We are located in Cavallo, Favignana, about 2 km from the town, approximately 300 meters from the pristine crystal-clear sea of Scalo Cavallo, and 1 km from the renowned Favignana bay, “CALA ROSSA”. The strategic location allows you to explore all the charming coves of the island.
What time is the room available on the day of arrival?
Check-in starts from 14:00, but you can arrive earlier and use our services. We will ensure that your room is prioritized based on availability.
Can we use the hotel facilities on the day of departure?
Yes. All hotel services are available to our guests until the time of departure. Rooms must be vacated by 10:00 am.
Can we connect to Wi-Fi?
Yes, you can access the free Wi-Fi by asking for the password at the reception.
Does the hotel have a wellness center?
No, but through a free pass, available at the reception, you can access the services of Cave Bianche Hotel****, which has a comfort zone with a large swimming pool, whirlpools, lounge bar, and solarium.

Breakfast is a continental buffet, served from 7:30 to 10:00.
Is there a restaurant and what are the opening hours?
No, but you can take advantage (at a discounted price) of the Cave Bianche Restaurant, which is open for lunch from 12:30 to 14:30 and for dinner from 20:00, with the possibility of charging it to your room. You can also enjoy a free shuttle service, upon reservation, directly to the restaurant.
How is the restaurant service organized?
À la carte service with a variety of fresh fish and a daily menu, based on seasonal products.
Is the restaurant equipped to handle special dietary needs?
Yes, by informing in advance, you will receive a dedicated proposal.
Does the hotel have parking?
The hotel has a large outdoor parking area (free), not guarded.
What are the sea areas like?
The coast is rocky but accessible on the north side; partly sandy on the south side. The island’s beaches are mostly free, but in some, you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas for greater comfort.
What excursions can I take during my stay?
Our staff can recommend boat trips to nearby islands and guided tours on the mainland, also assisting you with booking services.
